Bueno ya q buscas los mejores FPS (first person shooter) aqui te dejo un recorte donde hablan de los mejores en este estilo:

Ever since Quake started offering options for play over the Internet, multiplayer first-person shooters have been a dominant force in online gaming. Naturally, the hardware and software has improved dramatically over the years, and today's action gamer has a remarkable variety of genres and mods to choose from. These are some of top titles currently available for the PC. Hands-on experience and user feedback are among things I consider when rating these games, so if you have an opinion, post a comment or contact me by email.

1) Unreal Tournament 2004

The Unreal Tournament series from Epic Games has always been known for nice graphics, solid technology, and superb multiplayer options. Futuristic vehicular combat, a wide variety of maps, the introduction of Onslaught mode, and that extra bit of polish are just a few of the things that take Unreal Tournament 2004 a step beyond the competition. Epic's support of the mod community is also outstanding.

2) Counter-Strike: Source

Counter-Strike: Source is the multiplayer portion of Half-Life 2, bringing the beloved mod up to date with the latest graphics technology. It can now be purchased separately either on disk or through Steam. Gameplay is quite similar to the original, and the most popular of the old maps have been redone, but of course, it looks a lot better. CS is still the darling of online shooters, with an enormous following and a huge number of servers to play on.

3) Battlefield 2142

As the name implies, the latest addition to the Battlefield series is set about a century into the future. War is fought with a variety of high-tech weapons and vehicles, including large 2-man Battle Walkers. Battlefield 2142 has a lot in common with its predecessor, Battlefield 2, with some appealing new features such as a new objective-based gameplay mode and a deeper item unlock tree.

4) Battlefield 2

Modern combat is the focus of this popular Battlefield sequel, complete with guided missiles and artillery strikes. New features include built-in voice chat, a persistent player ranking system, and a commander position which introduces some unique tools to facilitate team organization. The graphics are very impressive, especially if your computer can handle the game at high settings.

5) Call of Duty 2

The Call of Duty series is renowned for intense World War II infantry combat. As well as a compelling, story-driven single-player campaign, these games have an active online community. Call of Duty 2 has a new graphics engine that brings it up to speed with the competition and shouldn't be overlooked if you're in the market for a World War II shooter.

6) Star Wars Battlefront 2

This title essentially takes the vehicular combat of the Battlefield games and sets it the "Star Wars" universe. As well as immerse you in frantic firefights on the ground, Battlefront 2 lets you take the action into space, where you can jump into an X-wing and show off your flying skills. It's also available for the PS2 and Xbox, although they support fewer players than the PC version.

7) Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

This title in the Wolfenstein series from Activision is an excellent multiplayer first-person shooter that you can download and play online for free. It's set in World War II and in addition to being a bargain, it has some terrific features, including a simple experience system. Enemy Territory focuses on infantry combat and uses the aging Quake 3 graphics engine, but it still has a very large following. There are more details and download locations in the review.

8) Half-Life: Counter-Strike 1.6

Although it has been around for several years, and it's actually just a free mod for a game that is even older, Counter-Strike 1.6 is still among the most popular multiplayer FPS games for the PC. This game lives on despite the release of Counter-Strike: Source. As has been the case for over half a decade, there's a good game underway on a low-ping server nearby, not to mention plenty of fiercely challenging opponents.

9) Battlefield 1942

Large maps, a great selection of vehicles and weaponry, fast-paced online action, and an extremely low learning curve won this game accolades from the gaming community when it kicked-off the Battlefield series back in 2002. It doesn't look near as good as more current titles, but there are still quite a few loyal fans playing this game four years and three sequels later. The Anthology comes with the original game and both expansions.

10) Jedi Knight II

Another FPS using the Quake 3 engine, but this time it has been adapted to a "Star Wars" theme. After all, there's nothing quite like the hum of a lightsaber, and no game does lightsaber duels better than this one. Although the graphics are noticeably dated, there remains a surprisingly active community surrounding this game, which was released in 2002. The Star Wars: Best of PC collection includes Jedi Knight II and four other "Star Wars" games.

Cualquiera de estos se puede jugar Multiplayer (online), lo q si...algunos te pueden pedir actualizaciones y parches para jugar online.
